44mm steel case\u003cbr\u003e For the first time, IWC uses an in-house movement from the 69000 caliber family for the famous TOP GUN Chronograph in black ceramic. During the most complex maneuvers of supersonic jets such as the F/A-18, a pilot's body is subjected to extremely high G-forces. But even during long missions on aircraft carriers, where they are exposed to humidity and salty air, the crew and the materials themselves are subjected to great strains. The TOP GUN Chronograph was created with robust, corrosion-resistant materials such as ceramic and titanium for the most experienced pilots of the US Navy. For the first time, IWC has equipped this classic timepiece with an in-house movement from the 69000 caliber family. In addition to the chronograph function, the IWC-manufactured 69380 caliber also displays the day and date. The red small seconds hand at 6 o'clock adds a vibrant pop of color to the black dial. The case is made of non-reflective black zirconium oxide-based ceramic, while the caseback is titanium. The watch is fastened to the wrist thanks to a black fabric strap.
